About the Artist
I'm Linda Preece, a pastel artist in Howell, Michigan. I've loved creating art for many years, but pet portraits hold a special place in my heart. My goal is to capture more than a likeness-I want to capture the personality and spirit that make each pet so special. Every portrait is drawn by hand in pastel, with care and attention to the little details that make your pet uniquely yours.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I order a pet portrait?
To order a portrait, simply contact me by email or phone. We'll talk about your pet, the size you'd like, and the photographs you have available. I'll help you choose the best photo to create a portrait that captures your pet's unique personality.
What kind of photos work best?
Clear, well-lit photos work best, especially ones taken at your pet's eye level. Natural light is ideal, and photos that clearly show the eyes, face, and true coat colors are especially helpful. Feel free to send several photos, and I'll help you choose the best one for your portrait.
What sizes are available and how much do they cost?
I offer pet portraits in several sizes, depending on the number of pets and the photograph you choose. Portraits are created in pastel and ar sold unframed. Prices vary by size and the number of pets. Please contact me and I'll be happy to discuss the best size for your portrait and provide a price.
How long does a portrait take?
Each portrait is created carefully by hand, so the time needed can vary depending on the size, number of pets, and amount f detail. I'll give you an estimated completion time before I begin and keep you updated along the way.
How will my portrait be packaged and shipped?
Your portrait will be sandwiched between two pieces of foam board  with glassine paper taped over the pastel and securely packaged for shipping.Â
How should I frame and care for my pastel?
Pastel portraits should be framed behind glass, with a mat or spacer to keep the artwork from touching the glass. Keep your portrait away from moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. With proper framing and care, a pastel painting can remain beautiful for generations.
